Whaea -The term used to describe an adult female such as Mother or Aunty. Try using this instead of Mrs. or Ms. |
Matua - The term used to describe an adult male such as a Father or Uncle. Try substituting Matua for Mr. |
| tamariki ma - used when speaking to a group of children | Ka pai - Very good! | Tena koe - Thank You |
| Haere ki reira - Go over there | Haere mai - Come here | Haere ki waho - Go outside |
